Teaching

I teach a variety of courses on art history and visual culture, with a particular emphasis on the Middle Ages and Early Modern period. My courses consider the art of Europe and its connections to the wider world in these periods. Courses that I have led include upper level seminars on Leonardo da Vinci and Albrecht Dürer as well as introductory surveys to art history. My teaching emphasizes object-based learning and interdisciplinary approaches. At the Hood, I work with over 30 academic departments at Dartmouth to facilitate the integration of objects into faculty teaching.
